Foster Home Assessment

There are state rules that determine how a foster home is licensed. The Michigan Department of Human Services - Office of Children & Adult Licensing determines the rules to be followed. To become a foster parent, an Assessment must be completed.

Some of the things that must be determined are: You must be at least 18 years old, of good moral character, express a willingness to foster the children we place, be physically, emotionally and mentally capable of caring for the children. There will be a criminal and abuse records check and an assessment of your home.
